Kurt’s new 52 mm zero-point pallet system is designed for use with the PF Vise Series. The vise base includes one set of 4 pull studs. No holes or counterbores are included on this product in order to mount the pallet in a variety of applications.
Designed to be an asset for small shops or scalable for large enterprise applications, the 5-axis modular vise and pallet system allows a shop to make a minimal initial investment and add more Kurt vises and pallets as needed. Zero-point mounting with a common pull-stud pattern across the Kurt lineup ensures ongoing product compatibility.
This Kurt 52 mm quick change base does not ship predrilled for mounting. Refer to machine table requirements for mounting patterns and drill and counterbore holes on Kurt pallet for your own machine application. Mounting hole locations can be machined into the base outside of the yellow areas shown on the drawings below.
Once the base is drilled and counterbored holes have been made, secure the base to the machine table with socket head cap screws.
Pallet precision bores must be protected from chips and coolant. If pallet is not being utilize, leave vise mounted in pallet to cover bores. If this is not an option, utilize stand alone pull down studs to act as a chip guard.
Zero-point pallets are not predrilled for mounting locations—allowing users to custom drill holes for their machine application. For a nominal fee, Kurt’s Custom Engineered Workholding team can drill and counterbore mounting holes. Contact CEW for a quote.
