New Kurt 96mm 5-Axis Vises

Introducing the New Kurt PFW440 5-Axis 96mm vise. Featuring three vise-body sizes and three jaw options, our new wide-body design allows mounting using a 96mm pull-stud pattern on Kurt zero-point quick-release pallets. Choose any of three jaw options including, serrated, machinable or dovetailed styles in 4-inch widths. Kurt 5-Axis vises allow maximum part accessibility for done-in-1 machining operations on 3-, 4- or 5-axis machines. User-friendly features include, quick-change jaws, spring-loaded gibs, quick-lash adjustment, hexes on both ends of the vise and side-body pull stud locations for robotic machine tending and pick and place.

PFW Vise Features

The new Quick Lash Adjustment makes center-line movement fast and efficient and keeps parts perfectly positioned and vises in the field longer with less downtime through the usual wear and break in periods. New spring-loaded gibs keep parts square and are designed to maximize part-positioning repeatability through multiple cycles.

Kurt’s PFW420, PFW440 and PFW460 vises come with 4-inch wide jaws and openings ranging from 2.625″ to 6.625″, making them the perfect vise for any 3, 4 or 5-axis machines milling small- to medium-sized parts. PFW-series 5-axis vises feature the patented Kurt AngLock® design to minimize jaw lift and deflection. The proven AngLock® design naturally pushes the vise jaws down and forward allowing much greater surface contact on parts—maximizing holding strength with less clamp force.
